Privacy policy

Oak's Binder is free, ad-free and collects the minimum needed to keep your binder in sync. This page is maintained by the Oak's Binder team and describes current practice — it is not an independent certification.

What we store

  • Your account email and collector name, supplied when you register or sign in with Google.
  • Your collection: which cards you have marked owned, reverse owned, favourite, wishlist or trade available, plus quantities, notes, purchase prices and acquisition dates you enter yourself.
  • Progress data: XP, collector level, daily streak, badges and a short recent-activity list.
  • Share links you create, including the point-in-time snapshot of card ids and progress totals they publish.
  • If you opt in to leaderboards, your collector name and aggregate totals (cards owned, sets completed, best streak, level).

What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent or share your data with advertisers.
  • We do not run ads or third-party advertising trackers.
  • We do not store payment details, because Oak's Binder is free and has no paid tier.
  • We never publish your email address. Share pages and leaderboards contain no email addresses.

Where your data lives

  • Your collection is stored in the Oak's Binder database and is readable only by your own signed-in account. Nothing about your collection is written to your browser's storage.
  • Card names, images, rarities and set data are fetched from the TCGdex and pokemontcg.io public APIs. Market pricing comes from TCGplayer, with Cardmarket as a fallback. These providers see requests for card data, not your collection.

Share links

  • A share link is public to anyone who has the URL. It contains a snapshot of card ids and progress totals only — no email address and no purchase history. Deleting the link from your sharing page removes the snapshot immediately.

Your controls

  • Export: download your entire collection as CSV or JSON from Settings at any time.
  • Delete: wipe your collection data, or delete your whole account and every associated record, from Settings. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
  • Leaderboards and push notifications are opt-in and can be switched off from Settings.
